SUMMER CELEBRATION SHIRTS
The Summer Celebration shirts are fabulous. I have mine hanging in the living room so that I can admire it all day long. The shirts are in colors of blue, red, and charcoal. They are all beautiful. I know the celebration is a week plus two days away but you can purchase your shirt at the Missouri River Lumber Co. If you purchase it early you would have a better choice of colors and you would be able to wear it the starting day on Friday the 28th.

Every detail of the celebration is in order and a good time will be had by all.

SHONKIN REUNION
A new addition to the Shonkin reunion has been added. There will be a Shonkin Shopping Store added to the schedule. I’ll provide more info next week. Be sure to check it out and shop until you drop. (Not really! Just enjoy the whole time with family and friends.

FIREWORKS
Postcards asking for donations for the fireworks display at Summer Celebration were mailed recently. It is sponsored by the Lions Club and they would like to thank you for your generosity of donations to this event. It is the highlight of the celebration. I believe that there is not one single older or younger person who does not love the fireworks show. Yes, I know. The dogs do not like it but after all it is only once a year. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

RODEO
Did you remember to tell your family and friends about the “TRICK RIDERS” who will be performing at the rodeo. I saw them on a smart phone and it took my breath away. (I wonder how many hours they put in practicing.)

VISITORS
My three sons came to visit me last Friday. Perhaps you saw us around town in their look alike t-shirts. My oldest son Johnny and his wife Jane came from Ohio near Cleveland. My second son Jeff and his wife Barbara came from Suwanee, GA near Atlanta. I think you all know my daughter Jennifer and her fiancĂ© Mike live in Great Falls. Last but not least was Jerry who traveled alone because wife Sherry could not make the trip. He came from Redford, MI. near Detroit. They all met at the Denver airport and arrived in Great Falls around noon on Friday.

We had a very special weekend together. Johnny, Jane, and Jerry left on Monday morning. Jeff and Barbara stayed until Wednesday. They both love history and checked Fort Benton out to every last detail. They loved our museums and Old Fort Benton. They returned several times on their two day pass. Barbara had never been to Montana before and Jeff was here before but for a very short time. He did not do any sight-seeing at that time.

So again, a good time was had by all I’ll have more to add to this story at another time.

GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR TROOPS, POLICE OFFICERS, FIREMEN AND WOMEN, FIGHT FIGHTERS, AND EMT’S.

FLY YOUR AMERICAN FLAGS and WEAR RED ON FRIDAYS.
