“VIEW from the BRIDGE”

NO VIEW TODAY
Due to the loss of our beautiful daughter, Audra, there will not be much of a View today.
FUN RUN
The following letter comes from Brent and Jessica Hanford and Sam Stefani. I am putting it into the View for obvious reasons.
“Audra, you will be sorely missed. You celebrated life and touched so many people in our community. For years, you organized and ran in the Summer Celebration Fun Run. From this year on, the Summer Celebration Fun Run will be known as, the Audra Morger-Bonilla Memorial Fun Run.
We were all blessed to have known you, you will always be loved, and you will always be missed.”
The Bonilla and Morger families are overwhelmed with the meaning and thought behind this forever memory of Audra.
Arrangements were made with this years t-shirts to have a patch placed on the sleeve. It will be a keeper, hung in our closets for an every day reminder to “Believe,” that was a motto with Audra, Greg and Grayson.
A PLACE TO STAY
I do have two items to write about that must go into the River Press this week. If you have a bedroom or two to spare and could accommodate visitors to Fort Benton for Summer Celebration, please call Connie Jenkins on her cell phone and leave a message. The number is 750-2918. She will get back to you a.s.a.p. All rooms at the Pioneer Lodge and the Grand Union Hotel are reserved as well as all the Guest Houses. There is not a room left in town and there are many people who want to stay, but have no place to stay.
On the other side of the coin, if you need a place to stay, also call Connie. She will try to accommodate you. She already has the names of homes that have opened their doors to visitors. It is a workable deal and the name of the game is to have everyone have a good time. It is not, having to drive for miles for a pillow to lay your head upon. Good luck everyone.
OOPS, OOPS, & OOPS
Last week I reported that there would be no collecting of monies along the Levee for the Fireworks Show. That was not correct and there will be collection along the Levee. Those collecting will be wearing Lions vests for identification. My source said that this has been on going and that Summer Celebration fans have been very generous.
Remember that the show will include the “Waterfall” over the edge of the Old Bridge and we still remember how spectacular it was. That is so worth a contribution and the Kiddos will remember the evening for a long while. You can “ooh and aaw” right along with them. It is a togetherness thing.
GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS, GOD BLESS YOU.
